The following companies graciously donated products and services to the Source to Sea Expedition down the Mississippi River. We’d like to thank them for their continued support and commitment in this effort.
Great Outdoor Provision Company
Canoe, camping and paddling gear, and major logistics support. I can’t possibly thank Chuck, Danny, Lin, and the crew at GOP enough for their support of this expedition. We couldn’t have pulled this off without your help.
Personal Floatation Devices (PFD’s) to keep us afloat. Worn every day of the trip, and still going strong.
Portable email device. Works from any phone!
Sleeping bags, inflatable flamingos, and most importantly, the world’s best drybags. No leaks after 2,150 miles of abuse.
Supplied the sunglasses worn every day of the trip and then some.
Folding camp chairs for after-paddle relaxation.
Peppermint soap kept us smelling fresh, at least some of the time.
Funkiest shoes around, but oh-so-comfortable.
Supplied the hard-adonized cookset that boiled approximately 1,232,879 pounds of pasta during the trip.
Sunscreen and bug-repellent products. We would have been burnt to a crisp their products.
Hammocks made for post-paddle chilling sessions.
Demo’d their Dana (Palm-based laptop) model during the Minnesota stretch.
Annies Homegrown Natural and Organic Foods
Organic mac and cheese to die for. I could eat this every day.
Hummus, black beans, tabouli…… Yum!
We wiped out our beef jerky supply quickly, but man was it tasty.
All Natural Peanut Butter & Co.

awesome awesome stuff here. how would you recommend going about getting sponsors for a trip like the ones here. either paddling the mississippi or hiking the AT. what is needed to approach these suppliers/sponsors to donate supplies/equipment? I would think they would be reluctant to do so. but whats a good approach? thanks again for your endless information and stories.
