I gotta try noodling sometime. Noodlin’, hoggin’, and grabbin’, all refer to hand fishing for catfish. No rod, no reel, no nothing. Basically you dive down, reach into a hole where a catfish is hiding, let it clamp down on one of your hands, then pull them him of the water. Some of these flathead catfish run fifty pounds or more, so spotters are used to help get the fish into the boat.
