 Paddled about 22 miles so far today , and will be putting in another 8 or so before camping tonight. Weather was beautiful, and I’m on track to teach New Bern on Friday or Saturday. 122 down, and about 78 to go!

Been running errands in Goldsboro today, but had a huge day yesterday. Lots of rain so far, but cooler temps too.

Just a quick note from the river. I’m finally underway and ready to get to paddlin’ onthe Neuse! www.SourcetoSea.net Thanks for all the support and emails. I really do appreciate it. Here’s hoping that Hurricane Danny stays out to sea for a bit. I like to apologize to the entire eastern seaboard ahead of time, because I ALWAYS have some funky weather swirling around me when I’m on an extended trip.

More details will be coming as we work out the dates and times, but plan on a public paddling event in New Bern sometime on Labor Day Weekend. My thanks to the Twin Rivers Paddling Club for their efforts.
