Just a follow-up from my earlier post about Biking from Greensboro to Raleigh with an Amtrak Twist post. Here is the text of the article I wrote for the Greensboro News and Record. Enjoy! -JP
“So it’s Monday night, and we’re planning on to catch the train to Greensboro Friday at the [...] Moleskine notebooks have become all the rage for the hipster crowd, but I’ve got to admit that my little black book is pretty handy. It’s used as my mini-journal, a place to jot down random ideas, store receipts, and doodle. I also use it as my wallet after getting rid of most of the crap [...] Just wanted to post a couple of quick pictures from last weekend. Jess and I rode our bikes down to the train station, took the Amtrak from Raleigh, then meandered about 100 miles back to our front door. Got to visit with family and friends, saw a great little parade in Millsboro, took in [...] I commute by bike lately, riding on a greenway parallel to the main road. I would have never seen this patch of blackberries if I was sitting in the truck, that’s for sure. One more benefit to riding to work! |
